If your idea of the perfect vacation is playing some rounds of golf in a beautiful waterfront setting we have some of the best courses for you. Stay close to many of the Chesapeake Bay’s best courses at our resort. The Piankatank River Golf Club is only a few moments away and is situated on the relaxing Piankatank River. Or head to The Tides Inn in Irvington and play 18 holes at the Golden Eagle Golf Club. There are a number of area courses all within a short drive!

In recent years the Chesapeake Bay region has seen a number of wineries open with wonderful offerings! Take a quick drive across the Rappahannock River and begin your tasting journey on the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail. Nearby New Kent County also offers several award winning wineries in tranquil settings creating a relaxing way to spend time at the river.

Taking a look at all the water surrounding the resort will certainly will entice you to grab a pole and start fishing! Some of Virginia’s best fishing opportunities are right on the Rappahannock River and nearby Chesapeake Bay. Consider joining a fishing charter and looking for striper, cobia, flounder and more! Fishing not your cup of tea? Book a charter to take a close look at the abundant wildlife in the area and get demonstrations of fishing, oystering, and crabbing practices by area fishermen. Guests will also learn about the deep history of Virginia’s river country.

Our region has some of the oldest and richest history in the United States. You are a short drive to Virginia’s Historic Triangle featuring Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. There’s also many attractions right around the corner like Deltaville’s Maritime Museum, Historic Christ Church, George Washington Birthplace National Monument, Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, Steamboat Era Museum and Stratford Hall. Hundreds of years of history to satisfy any history buff!
